Snow Day

Nolan was born in the winter last year, but as he was a wee little thing, he never got to play in the snow. . . This year, I was determined that he would, despite my personal distaste for being cold and wet. Maybe he inherited a bit of that. . .

He couldn't walk in his new snow boots. He was very bundled up. And he wasn't sure he got what the big deal was any way. Why were we all so excited to be out in this stuff?

Dad tried to cheer him up.

Mom & grandma made him go down the big slide. . . which made him a little happier. He kept wanting to do this one again.

And he cracked a big ol' grin after one of our trips down the snow slide onto the trampoline. But only that one time.

oh, all right, maybe it wasn't so bad.

I am so sad that I missed visiting you guys. I didn't anticipate the weather being so up and down this visit. There's no excuse--and I am sad that I wasn't able to just make it happen. I love that you post pics though--it makes missing you a little less miserable. Next time!

I love all the winter gear on he looks so snuggly warm and his blue eyes and chubby cheeks are darling. What a good mom I don't dare take Ryken to play in the snow or maybe it's just because I don't want to get bundled up. He's growing up.

He is as adorable as everyone else has said, but my first thought was "I can't put my arms down!" Way to let him experience it up close!
