OK, that's an exageration. But it feels like that.
We saw both Stranger Than Fiction and Casino Royale today. I'm not going to go into details about my feelings on them, because it's almost midnight and church is at 9 am, but let us just say, they were 2 VERY enjoyable movies.
Were it not for useless projectionists and screaming children, they would have been WHOLEY enjoyable movie watching experiences.
Note to those of you with small children, for some reason, the special announcements before the movie don't point this out, but you should know:
Your child disrupting the movie we all paid $7.50 to get in to is WAY more annoying than any cell phone ringing. I love the little tikes, but PLEASE, take them OUT if they start to make noise. & I don't just mean in the hall thingy where no one can SEE you. We can still hear you.
In fact, even better, spring for the babysitter. It's just common courtesy. Seriously. I'll pitch in for the babysitter if you're that strapped for cash. Just don't bring a small child to a PG-13 movie, let alone an R-rated one.
EVER.
The rest of us want to hear what's going on.

Amen to that .. I'm constantly astounded at how many people take their tikes to thoroughly inappropriate movies, I guess because they just can't be bothered with a baby sitter .. For example, there must have been 10 little ones in the audience when I went to see Hustle and Flow .. amazing
