Mobile

For some reason we are making very slow progress in the nursery at the moment. It seems like we're pretty much at a one small thing at a time kind of pace. . . But we finally hung the mobile up and I wanted to post pictures, all by itself, just for fun. Hopefully I'll get more done in there tonight and I can take a picture of things a little bit more put together.

It was constructed with 3 sets of finger puppets I bought off of Amazon, 2 embroidery hoops, and a spool of chocolate brown ribbon. We suspended it from the ceiling using one of those hooks you use to hang plants. And I have to admit, I'm pretty darn happy with how it turned out. And a few years from now, when Nolan doesn't sleep in a crib any more, I'll just unpick the puppets and let him play with them as they were originally intended. . .

unless I can't bear to. . . it really took a long time to put together.

So cute! You are so creative. I love that you will be able to use it for something else other than a mobile...I was thinking about that when I hung up mine, just about the age they are interested in it, you have to take it down for "safety" reasons. But I could see how you might not want to take it apart, it is so cute. Love it!

That is so clever! I never would have thought that up. The little puppets are just darling, and I love that you can use it even when he gets bigger. Well done!

so darling. Your nursery looks so cute. What a lucky boy Nolan is! We never put a nursery together, for 9 months Oliver was sleeping in the corner of the "junk room" until I had finally had enough and decided to take matters into my own hands and make it HIS room.

Great job.
